ancestorsblues It is stranger to hear "it was never a problem or exploit, repeating that is just strange" or "the fling and other combo moves werent the problem, nor were they ever a problem "as a seemingly (?) counter- argument to the detailed breakdown provided in my thread. I mean you leave no space for us to actually have a conversation about it.
I have so far provided a lot of info on this throughout the thread as to what and why. If that wasn't enough to make you think about it, then nothing else I say will. Had it not been a problem, I wouldn't have created this thread, or we wouldn't have these discussions over it. In fact, the majority of the people here initially agreed that with more people doing these flings it would become a problem, even the people that actually defended it.
Yes, it wasn't an auto-win, and people would lose games by trying it carelessly, but I never mentioned it wasn't like that. That's because it doesn't matter. It not being an auto-win or people finishing themselves off with that does not take away anything from the main points of the thread. You can also screw yourself by an unfortunate jump or a dropkick, or even a punch in some cases, it's... normal for this game. It can't really be used as an argument as to "why it should stay".
Do I understand correctly that controls feel slow, momentum is jank, and you're bored and losing interest as a result... because self- flinging/jump-punch-launching got removed? And that all is a kick in the face from the developer to skilled/experienced players?
Just think about this one for a moment. All of this... because of that fix. This is what is actually strange, very difficult to understand for me personally. Are we not collectively seeing a problem with that statement?
The issue I see with such statements is that you don't really account for anything other than your own personal enjoyment of the game. It's fair, in a way, but is sort of one- sided for this thread.
