It appears that they started off with a game where there were really no skins (only recolors). It seems like they were just experimenting with a whole bunch of different asthetics (notice that the penguin, dodo, and godzilla are all different artistic styles). So my guess is that when they decided to have skins in the game, they decided to only have a couple recolors and ditched a lot of them (that way people wouldn't always be asking for new recolors for the rest of the animals).

This is my guess, but it's only as good as everybody's elses. I'm obviously not a dev and I don't always understand their thought process 😂

UnseenMind Ha, I remember these but I've never seen the Shoebill (totally not a toucan like they claimed, though that is also one of the unused characters in the stands) anywhere. I love it for being such a random species choice and for their being able to make it look both derpy and kind of terrifying...just like the real thing! 😛

I am surprised that some of the other skins for Fluffy didn't make it in, especially since the body type does work for Lab, Retriever, Dalmation, Bernese Mountain Dog, etc. The German Shepherd and Collie reskins of Kato are great, too. I hope we get to see those brought back at some point.

komikoza Some characters will come back, but some will not. The reason is that the heads of some characters are too big, which will cause the dynamic solution results to be weird. If we are not a game that can fight, there will be no problem, but fighting is very important for Party Animals.

GrannyMax I could see that for the original characters that were scrapped, but I still don't understand why the recolours were scrapped. If you ask me, it just seems like every other character recolour.

There’s a possibility they could add the Penguin, maybe the Crab but I’m not sure.
