komikoza Fun observation: the game is actually slowly gaining players post-update instead of rapidly losing them. But for a proper statistic we need to wait a month or so with the fling fix present and working properly (so we can see the player peak for July).
Probably because of the controversial nature of this update. A update in general will increase the player numbers but in this case most people probably only booted the game to see if the news are really "true" and how the game plays now.
But even with a lot of people saying they are gonna leave and stuff. I don't feel like the player numbers will drop as much. There are new skins coming and fomo gets most people in the end.
Even tho I am quite unsatisfied with these changes I don't feel like dropping Party Animals either. But I gotta take a little bit of a break to lose some of my muscle memory. The game is probably still lots of fun!
