People don't spawn with shovels in hand though. The first time a newbie sees someone rush for a shovel and eliminate them, they'll understand that the weapon makes them dangerous. The next time they'll keep their distance. They'll start to see the patterns, the swing direction, the time it takes. And eventually they'll see someone dropkick the shovel holder, and it will disarm them. Or throw a bomb the shovel holder is too slow to escape from. Or use a crossbow or freeze gun to knock them off at a safe distance. You don't need hundreds of hours to play, just the willingness to observe and learn.

Allistervf But as a game that currently needs a base of players, allowing more people, possibly some girls or ladies, to contact this game, too strong weapons for them, may be a reason to quit the game，you have to agree this

zuimaomao413 As a Girl i would say I would of played the game if the weapons were 10% stronger than they are rn because the weapons strength has nothing to do with whether I want to play or not, every animal has the same ability when it comes to picking up weapons.

Being a girl doesn't make you any worse at video games than a man though? I'm on both the discord and the forum (though I usually just quietly lurk the discord to read what's being said) and there are a lot of female players of Party Animals. Their gender doesn't make them any less capable, and they definitely haven't quit because a shovel exists.

Not all people are so easily discouraged as to quit the first time the get shoveled. Your assessment is correct, but it works both ways. For every one person who quits the second they lose their first match, there are dozens who will keep trying.

So much drama in this thread! Personally, I'm shocked that it was the shovel that got the nerf, but man, you'd think the sky had fallen. Maybe the devs have been eyeing a nerf before the game officially released. Maybe it enhances the overall experience rather than diminishes it. People act as though elements of this game are sacrosanct.

It's a shovel. You'll live.
