While everyone else is trying to show me realistic and rational solutions, I can only see you getting all offended. In fact, I think I've hit your ego right in the feels.
Well, buddy, it's not just about Capybara. You're all taking this as a crusade against Capybara Barbara, even though I explicitly state that in all my posts, I'm directly attacking the EXP gain per match.
And yes, I completely disagree that Barbara and Lamar, the base characters, are stuck in a 125-level wall, when this should be exclusively for Skins.
Don't you agree? So, increase the pass level to 1000 and make absolutely all the base characters unlockable by leveling as well. Why not do it that way?
I'll explain, due to a lack of content, in the expansion of the 50 extra levels after the 100-level cap, they made the unfortunate decision to make the base characters unlockable.
Do you want another example? Party Animals is a game about humanoid animals that fight. Do you know what other franchise has a very famous character like that? Kung Fu Panda.
Now, Panda is extremely popular? Yes, he's at level 125, a huge achievement for players who put in the effort?
No... I bought him yesterday for a few bucks, isn't that counterintuitive?
Why put Barbara and Lamar through this exhausting 125-level wall?
And guys, my god, you take this subject so sentimental that it's almost unnecessary. Please don't give me moral mottos about real life, about people who put in the effort, etc., etc., or about old games like the PS1 era that didn't even have teams focused on user experience.
It's 2025, grinding should be completely optional.
Want a hard-to-achieve reward that will boost your ego when you finally get there? Great, make exclusive and super cool skins. Don't make base characters unlockable, while others just need to insert a damn credit card.
Hey buddy
M4Y4D3R3 if I offended you personally, I apologize, but I don't know if you know, but joining this thread and trying to argue against a simple request for user experience improvements isn't mandatory.
You can keep your point to yourself, since none of your arguments have actually contradicted mine so far. You're arguing with me as a person, not against the solutions I'm proposing here.
It just seems like you're a hatter who's looking for a needle in a haystack
to try to contradict everything I'm saying here.
Everything I'm proposing doesn't affect you AT ALL.
New players having a less punishing journey when leveling up shouldn't bother you like that. And I'll say more.
At no point do I want EXP to be zero-effort, like an elevator to the top, as the friend mentioned. I'm talking about improving the quality of EXP gain.
