Quick Match went away after Gamepass Expired

Hi, I love the game so much playing on Xbox gamepass. I bought the game but I can’t play online anymore since my gamepass expired. Do I need to get gamepass to play it? It doesn’t make sense or else why would I buy the game when I could just keep playing it on gamepass? I thinking it’s some glitch and I should be able to play online after purchasing the game. I reinstalled the game and same issue. I’m able to play multiplayer online like Rocket League and Destiny 2.

Like MikeLitoris just posted above, according to the regulations of the Xbox platform, when playing a prepaid online game, you need to enable the XGP (Xbox Game Pass) feature.

On Xbox and PlayStation you need a membership to play games online.
The games you mentioned are free to play. Like Fortnite, Warzone etc. you don't need it.
But here you do.... Xbox Live / Core
