this thread can be useful for idea sketches, so we can continue developing those ideas together and later present the final form to the developers. let's think more about the first game mode
i think i already said that i never liked "dead by daylight", but i did like Evolve game. this is the first game i saw in a genre of asymmetric multiplayer and it can just be the very first one
so if we had asymmetric mutiplayer game mode in party animals, i want it to be more like "evolve" and less like "dead by daylight". but this again requires increasing the size of one player. suppose the technicians can do that, it will have slower movement and special ground attacks, creating the boss player will be the main challenge, because you dont really have to change any animations for other players, unless you want a special animation, like climbing on the back of boss player ("shadow of the colossus" production team managed to create climbing on top of other big characters in 2005, so im sure recreate games could do something similar in 2025)
other players can simply use crossbows to attack the boss player. we could add fire, electric and ice arrows for variety. rapid fire perk from SMASH game mode can also be used, we could even have stationary cannons from black sails with limited number of cannonballs
the idea is simple, the boss player should eliminate other players and vice versa, but that's still not enough to make this game mode fun. in Evolve the goal of the player, who controls the monster is to run away from other players at the start of game, until he evolves to be strong enough to fight them. the goal of other players is to catch him before he evolves. in "dead by daylight" type of games the goal of other players is the opposite and it's to escape, before the "boss" player kills all players. lets think about what kind of goals both the "boss" player and other players can have in such game mode for party animals
