A while back, I mentioned that playing Crisis was a bit like playing Tag, and I posted a video of Wander over Yonder where they did that. I wonder if that inspired them to make Infection, or if they based it on a similar game I'm not familiar with. Are there any similar games?

Okay so there's going to be a PA tournament in Ichiban.
Let me just read out the rest of the information. Clears throat.

Players must form full teams (minimum 4 players) to register. Each player may only be registered on one team.
Only the team captain should submit the registration form.
Incomplete teams will not be accepted.
Any players with serious in-game violations in the past 6 months will be disqualified.
Open to players on the Global server only. (Please note that latency may vary when connecting to the NA - East server.)

In response to the tournament and really any major event they host. I'm kind of bummed they do cash prizes. Personally, It doesn't really incentivize me.l since I don't need more. However if they did rare skins? I'd be all over that.

I think it would be best if everyone had the chance to get it rather than needing to follow some social platform to know a rare skin is out to grab. Unless you are saying an old skin like Ghost Nemo, then I can see it. I do not like people bragging about a skin, it is pretty daunting and annoying lol

Tiny_Fox yeah I can understand that. It's the same problem with lots of games, but it really all falls down to the player base.

Tiny_Fox I agree, it would be nice if they had these opportunities completely contained within the game, and not tied to another social media platform. But I was meaning an entirely new skin. Given the fresh perspective of relying on social media outside of the game to run events, i can totally understand the frustration.

I personally don't brag about rare skins, but I certainly like the show them off. I usually strive to be different and not follow the herd, so rare skins are one of my favourite things within this game!

ToastySTENCH There are plenty of rare skins in the game since Party Animals is a year old. For example: the hoodie Tiagra, all the ghost Nemos, the Greek god skins, all the passes, the early demo Nemo and Googoo, Pj Tuskarr, detective Harry, all of the racer skins, Rayton Carrot, Luckin Coffee, Black Sam, discord Nemo, and all Christmas skins like Bilibili Carrot. You have plenty of rare skins to choose from

One of the upcoming rare skins is Shining Soul, which is already rare because not many people can have access to it unless they are on social media or buying the skins through eBay or transactions with Chinese people (which can be a scam).

Tiny_Fox Yesss exactly. I have all the shining souls and a lot of the skins you mentioned. I guess you could maybe argue that I collect skins at this point. Which is another reason why I personally would be incentivized for events such as the one that was announced if there were skin rewards. Given that I've boughten all the shining souls and a lot of other skins, I think it might be fair to assume I dont care for monetary rewards.

I know collecting and having the desire for rare skins may be frowned upon, but I don't really know why. I'm just a collection nerd haha. If you aren't a fan of it, I'd kindly and respectfully would love to hear why.

Oh also I wanted to directly reply to this. I think Shining Souls came out in Febuary and I'm not sure how much longer its going for if it even is. There definitely can be scams out there. Luckily some websites have peer reviews on each seller. So if anyone were to buy any, just do your due diligence and research the seller a bit.

ToastySTENCH collecting skins is the whole point of the game, especially otta ones 😉

ToastySTENCH I collect skins too. It is fun to have a lot of variety to pick from. I, too, have all of the shining soul skins and even handed out codes for free to some of my friends. I understand collabs, passes, a limited-time skins can make the game fun for a certain skin that only YOU can wear. Yet, some people target players who play rarer skins and losers who love bragging about their rare skins. This ruins new players from the bragging, and the old players are unable to wear their favs due to the targeting. Plus, the poor PS5 players who just got the game recently cannot and will never get those skins from the past year. Imagine the feeling of being unable to get a skin you want to play as, but you could never get it. It's better if everyone gets the chance to get the skins. My opinion though, I say keep the rare skins that should stay that way and bring back the ones that shouldn't like detective Harry and Pj Tuskarr. For those to keep rare should be Shining Soul and other special events.

Cirno They definitely need to show the otta more love and release more skins! Otta was my main character when I first started playing. But yeah, I think it's fair to say the devs put some design into the game for players to collect skins by making some limited time and rare.

However, i think its really unfair Playstation players got screwed and missed out. I don't really know a solution to that without it being unfair to the rest. But it really sucks.

ToastySTENCH Yeah, it is pretty unfair. But your right, if they keep on bringing back old events old players are gonna start getting bored, I think they should have brought Xiangzhou Otta with blue cabbage dog or whatever it’s called. But yes if you think about it Otta doesn’t have much skins, I thought he was popular but I rarely see people using him anymore, it’s rare to see a Milky Otta nowadays.

Cartrimino I feel that's always been the fact for Nintendo sadly. But because of that consistently being a thing for years, I think most nintendo owners own at least one other console or a PC. But I do agree, sometimes I don't want to sit up and play on my PC and the TV screen at the place i stay most nights at is so small. Being able to play on a switch would be 👌
