Cedar_Z I also feel that other newer players are at a bit of a disadvantage now if they need cookies. Like many others, I played a lot and gained a reasonable amount of cookies before the limit was introduced. It's harder for a new player to get cookies now. I've seen posts where people talk about having hundreds of thousands of cookies (or more), which was only possible before the limit.
I mainly play on my Xbox, and I put a lot of hours in before the limit was introduced. This meant I earned a lot of cookies. I recently started playing on my Steam Deck as well, but that was after the limit was introduced. As it's a different profile (Steam vs Xbox), I had to start again, and I'm struggling to build up my cookies. I couldn't buy many Christmas outfits on the Steam Deck with the cookies I had, and I missed out on one that cost 22.5K, which is now gone. I guess this must be what it's like for newer players. Feels a little unfair.
I personally don't like the limit. Someone said it was an effort to reduce playtime. I'm not sure if that's true, but it certainly didn't reduce it for me (because I just enjoy playing the game), and even if it had, if I was in the mood to play a game I would've just played something else instead if the lack of reward was the reason. If reducing playtime was the reason the limit was introduced, that doesn't feel sensible - to me at least - although I know some will disagree.
I also wonder about the worth of having two separate currencies in the game: Nemo Bucks and Cookies. But, that probably deserves its own thread. Nemo Bucks feel more "premium" and allow access to more difficult to attain outfits, but surely there's a way of doing it all with a single currency? Anyway, just my thoughts on it all.
