next thursday is earth day. this is the first less known event i began celebrating when i started looking for more things to celebrate. although after learning about many other celebrations past year, i am no longer interested in this day as before. but we can still celebrate planet earth on 20th this year

i just learned there are two earth days, but it's a bit confusing to me. april 22 is when i celebrated it before and told my visitors a joke that a man by the name Gaylord came up with this celebration. but there is another earth day that was proclaimed to be celebrated on march 20 - the day of spring equinox. i think it's a better date for it and it doesnt have Gaylord name attached to it, so this is when i will celebrate it now

it was last seen in 1989 in costa rica and is now considered to be extinct. made me think how some creatures can be completely wiped off our planet and we will never see them again. life on earth is fragile

Igor I've never seen these frogs in Mexico. It's sad that animal species are disappearing, not just animals, but some plant species as well. Even fruit trees are unmarketable because they don't last long before rotting, which is why they prefer to grow other fruits.
