Igor I don't remember that people practiced fasting in my country, although it is mentioned that Jesus did it for 40 days. I know some have done it though as a form of detoxification of the body. I remember that part of the fast consisted in part of eating unleavened bread, which would be a kind of cookie. What else is allowed during fasting?

vile_Terrier this is something i cant tell you in a few words and this is something i still learn about myself. in short, there is a lot of things aside of meat that you cant eat, but you can also find a lot of products that you can eat. my musician friend was helping me with it today, he is a very knowledgeable man, so he said to me that "by the end of lent you will understand". it is a learning process and it's fun for me to learn about. i will have to try some food i never tried before. because you cant eat salami or cheese with bread, i bought myself some peanut butter. i never tried it before, tomorrow i will see if it tastes good. here's a random picture of things you can and cannot eat:
