i wanted to also further explain my love for beat up bridge map. it used to be my favorite map before they added castleween. i was having too much fun fighting in darkness on this map, but because some people did not see fun it in, they made it lighter, so it lost all appeal to me. then beat up bridge went back to being my favorite map.

part of the reason why i like it is because i really like Fumito Ueda games. each of his games is different, but in each of his games there is a concept of a collapsing bridge. when you reach your final destination in game, there is always a bridge that breaks when you cross it, and you have to find your way to get to your destination again. he talked about this idea of collapsing bridge in one of his interviews, but i forgot if he explained the meaning behind it. we can interpret it like this: sometimes when you are about to reach your destination, everything falls apart, and you need to get everything back together again. after the bridge collapsed in The Last Guardian, the kid said something like "Do you think we can get back up?" i think this is a really cool idea
