Igor In fact, in Mexico they made some variants of shawarma, they prepare it in a similar way but they call it tacos arabes and tacos al pastor (shepherd tacos) people love this food. Tacos al pastor are named for the cooking method and the tradition of Middle Eastern shepherds. It seems strange to me that in other countries tacos are expensive, here they are usually cheaper than other foods, like North American fast food, I don't know if it is because of ingredients that are common in Mexico and not in other places. Maybe it seems strange to us that a mango or a melon is expensive in Japan and other countries.
Here people find it inconceivable not to eat with torillas and hot sauce, it is deeply rooted in our culture and it is what they miss the most when they move and live in other countries.
