Unlinking steam account to twitch drops

Since they have finally added drops to Xbox, they should make it so that we can unlink our steam accounts.

Good thinking ahead! I linked mine to Steam during the first drops in hopes it would go through to my xbox account because I have my Twitch Xbox and Steam accounts all linked to one another. Hopefully Carrot has a solution to this problem

I'm having this same exact issue. There should be an option to unlink your Steam/Xbox account.

Man, if this isn't resolved quickly, imma have to create another twitch account 😭

Soggywaffle I wish they would update us. I have another Twitch account getting the drops just in case but would rather be able to use my main Twitch account for this.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, I hope they resolve it quickly.

Hey there,

The Halloween Twitch Drops Event does not support unlinking an account that has already claimed drops on the website (including all events' drops).
You can create another Twitch account to participate in the event, link it to your Xbox account, and claim the drops.

Carrot What if we haven't purchased the game on steam to actually claim the drops? Is there still a chance when unlinking is available?? If not there should be cross-progression or send a shop code to get the drops we couldn't claim.

Carrot even if we were to make a new twitch account now, we miss out on twitch Levi and our main twitch account just can't be used at all for any future party animals drops. I'd be very annoyed having to log out of my main twitch that works for all my other games twitch drops just to do one for party animals, especially missing out on twitch Levi on top of it all.....

Carrot Why... uh.. didnt you just make the drops trigger giving codes instead on the website... would of saved a lot of hassle and a lot of people trouble... i myself am missing out due to this issue... its disheartening.

Carrot Any chance on getting the Twitch Levi rewards in the future? Really bummed out I got it and cannot get it on Xbox. Or at least implementing cross-progression? I don't mind buying the game on Steam was going to do that anyways.

I don't think it's out of line to make users go through the hassle.
I think it's the right thing to do to fix the account integration on the developer side.
