When it comes to earning in game currency, I have to give credit to the developers for creating a system that makes it easy to obtain cookies and nemo bucks through features like weekly challenges and the level up rewards system. I was able to afford many of the more pricey skins in the shop just by playing regularly and a bit of achievement hunting which feels great. However, I have since then reached level 100 and completed all the achievements which puts me at a roadblock. There are many other players like me who have reached this stage and are stuck with a massive amount of cookies that is constantly growing. For those who aren't aware, after level 100, when you level up you get 3000 cookies and that goes on infinitely. I was disappointed to find out that there is no more ways for players like me to freely earn nemo bucks, as the weekly challenges only provide more experience and cookies, which I have plenty of.
After completing all of the achievements, I can't help but think of all the missed opportunities for more interesting challenges that don't include the weekly "win a game" and "hit someone with x item x times" ones that I'm now left with. For me, having the achievements as a goal while I played made the gameplay so much more enjoyable and I want that to last even after reaching plat. I wouldn't suggest more weekly challenges, as that would be a hassle for those looking to get the three weeks in a row achievement, but I would like to see nemo bucks featured as a reward for some of them in place of cookies. They could even alternate with one week having nemo bucks and xp as rewards and the next being cookies and xp instead.
Another idea could be a daily mission board where meeting certain requirements or performing certain actions on stages would yield a reward of either xp, cookies, or nemo bucks respectively. I imagine a separate menu with a cowboy nemo and a board plastered with wanted posters with the animals' mugshot and the mission with the bounty being the reward for something like 200 nemo bucks. This would give players a reason to log in daily other than claiming a few skins and flesh out the gameplay by introducing new and fun challenges that let the player explore different mechanics on different maps. One that stood out to me in the achievements was winning a round of Wind Tunnel without grabbing the levers or gate, which made you think outside the box on how to use the whole stage to your advantage.
