The golden rod is a scam

So when you finish the pass for the marathon/pass, there is a Golden rod and this make you catch bigger fish,but in order to get it,the community also needs to get it,which means they completed the pass/they passed Hermit hoot
but that means,there is no point catching fish anymore.So if you see the Golden rod,dont buy it,unless u wnna waste your money of catch more fish ._.

ZoiDUX Well, I think the fishing option is not gonna go so, you just unlocked a cool rod to fish, maybe they do another event like this on the future, maybe there's people actually trying to complete the album, idk, just saying.
Not a scam, just a cool rod and a chill mode that's still on diapers.

ZoiDUX What do you do with fish? Sell them for treats. What do you use treats for? Everything in the cabin vending machine. Because of this, not only is there still a point in catching fish, there will never not be a point because treats will always be a valuable currency in the game.

Plus idk about you but I have almost nothing for the original cabin skins or card backs because I spent all my saved treats on fishing stuff at the start. So there's still incentive. But yeah, it is post-progress complete item..didn't know you could spend your treats on it now. I probably would myself so i can be assured that every treat i get there after can be saved for the poker skins.

vile_Terrier Thats how I see it. The gold rod won't be available to buy ever again likely..Just like how the Nemo kart helmet skin was also exclusively released for the introduction of that part of the game - the golden rod will likely follow.
