Cirno Also, what’s some good gear to get. As of now, I have Hawthorn rod, Bamboo reeler, Nylon I, and the gold hook. Curious on what type of gear are useful, I’m getting pretty low level fish.
ToastySTENCH Cirno I feel whatever items have the heaviest price tag have the most impact. However this is just an assumption. So I reckon the rod is what helps the most. Get out of light rods and into heavy rods (can't remember if bamboo rod is light or heavy. But I think light)
Cirno ToastySTENCH I’m fishing with Limto right now, he’s gotten several pretty big fish and I think he’s using the default rod, which made me curious if the rods are the best things to buy. I’m using blueberries as bait right now, that’s probably not a good idea. I have absolutely no fish cookies, so I’m trying to get fish cookies by fishing, but bait wastes most of it.
galaxy-cabbage Cirno the rods are mostly the best, each rod unlocks new fish and makes the last easier to catch, while the hooks and reels make it easier to catch the current newer fish
Cirno In the Tackle Box, I was comparing cranberry and blueberry’s stats, the only thing that changes is the bite rate, does that mean that a better bait will only help attract fish quicker? I may be wrong, perhaps bait does help get better fish.

ToastySTENCH I dont know if its coincidence but last night I kept catching large fish at night. About 3 large fish at night and only 1 during the day..I was fishing for about an 45 minutes or so.
ToastySTENCH Oh, a "tip" I got too. If you wanna laugh your butt off, grab onto someone's fishing rod before they charge it and they will YEET you across the map. Please do not remove this feature, I have died laughing countless times. Especially off the roof.
