Okay. Time to iron this idea out.
The map stage can either be a space satellite or space ship interior. The map is a last stand, so either 2v2v2v2 or 4v4.
On two of the walls (opposite one another) there are airlocks. The airlocks will occasionally cycle on their own, but can be manually cycled via a lever. The lever could either be by the doors, or somewhere else entirely at developments discretion.
Any player in an airlock hallway will be eliminated if an airlock cycles while they are inside, as the outside door will open and they will be pulled into space where they will freeze and float off into oblivion.
This is the basic idea of the map, however weird things happen in space...space oddities, if you will. It will be up to the devs how often these happen per game (if one happens per match, if multiple of the same oddity happen, or if multiple varied oddities happen)
Gravity Loss. The station will lose artificial gravity and players will float, akin to black hole lab. After a few seconds an alarm will sound and gravity will be lost, causing players to float uncontrollably aside from being able to kick off of surfaces amd other players. After a short amount of time, gravity will be restored. Players might fall on their heads if inverted, which is a way to be knocked out in other maps, so I imagine it would happen here and be just as funny when it does.
Airlock malfunction. An alarm will sound. After the alarm has blared for a few seconds, one of the airlocks will cycle, but both doors will be open. This will pull players towards the exit like a vacuum (think wind tunnel). Players can cling to objects to resist the pull. Levers will not affect the state of the airlock at this time. After a short duration, the airlock will close and normalcy will be restored.
Intruder alert. An alarm will sound, and one of the airlocks will open slightly, before a few tentacles emerge from the opening. The tentacles could either grab at players, or maybe just slap them around. The airlock levers will not work at this time. After a few seconds the alarm will sound again, and the creature will retract from the door and things will return to normal.
Please leave your comments and scathing criticisms below. I know the idea probably is too ambitious and has flaws. Make them known.
