So here's the story. I recently made a thread for a crisis role idea I had, but I accidentally put an 's' at the end of the title and it just made it into an idea thread, so I just decided to make an actual one. I'll start:
Goodie Role: The Historian
The historian can take a sample from other players, similar to the face/off killer. But instead of being able to disguise as them, they can take the sample to Surveillance to play 2 minutes before the sample was taken. This can be used to find the killer and prove people innocent. Though, like most roles, it is countered by the riddle killer.
Ghost Role: Angel
So this role is exclusive to ghosts. I would say that every time someone dies, there is a 25% chance they become an Angel, they will be able to tell because they will get wings and a halo. I also think it would be good if everyone has a highlight around them that represents their role that only the Angel can see. This is because they can place shields around someone for however long (that can be decided before the game) that protect people from being killed. I feel like this would give the ghost more to do instead of stay for XP or leave, because, let's be honest, that's all that happens anyway.
Goodie Role: Psychic
So this role is a little more complicated. They can grab someone, like in infection, and whispers would appear around the screen telling the psychic what they've done. You know, stuff like "Killed Player 7" "Pretended to do maintenance" "Infected Player 12" but the key thing is it wouldn't tell you the role. The first whisper idea I put up there was actually from a security, but the psychic doesn't know that, so they're going to think that the security is the killer.
Killer Role: Blind Killer
So I would say that around this role is maybe a five animals in radius 'aura' (Cheesypoofs stfu) that, whenever activated, blinds all other animals in the aura, so all the player can see is their animal and a small circle of light beneath them, for 30 seconds. This makes killing in a group much easier, but also means that the killer needs to be cautious to not let anyone leave the aura, otherwise they'll see the killer walking around like normal while everyone else looks like idiots. It adds a layer of strategy and memorisation, for the goodies to narrow down the killer, and I feel it could be a fun idea.
Neutral Role: Restarter
This role, I will say, would be quite weird, and how much of an effect it does relies not on gameplay, but on trust. You see, whenever this role gets killed, it doesn't die. It instead respawns somewhere else in the map, it isn't even affected by the riddle killer. It's goal is to be killed 5 times, not including voting out. Speaking of which, the only way to get rid of it is to vote it out. Like I said, this role is weird, but I thought that maybe it could be fun.
And Cheesypoofs, before you post an idea on here and fill the thread with shit, consider first (And this applies to everyone but cheesypoofs doesn't listen to it the most)
Is it fun to play with?
Is it fun to play against?
Do the balancing techniques actually balance it?
Is it just another already existing thing?

Cartrimino Could you maybe enforce a template in this thread? I personally feel just putting suggestions at the end of your post will probably be ignored by some. I'm going to make a 2nd post here with a copy + paste of my other suggestion with bulletins/prompts that suggests to the author to consider and fill in these crucial role aspects. It's just my humble opinion, but I just feel laying out something for people to copy and then fill in with their role idea is the most streamlined way to cut out bs.

🛠️ Role Name: "The Foreman"
Team: Goodies
Core Ability: Task Accelerator
Can boost task progress speed in a radius (e.g. 1.5x faster for any teammate doing tasks nearby)
Effect lasts 8 seconds, w/ a 20 second cooldown
Unique Interaction: Can “inspect” a task station (1x per game) to reveal who last interacted with it — useful for catching Baddies in sabotage or proving someone's story.
Playstyle Impact: Encourages team clustering, rewards objective play, and promotes faster non-violent victories
Counterplay: Vulnerable while boosting (slightly slower movement during the ability)
I removed passive ability from this suggestion since this game actually doesn't even have passive abilities for roles anyway. But it would be nice.

The Hungry (Goodie)
has sandwich that recharges every minute
can throw sandwich at people and they will eat it
sandwich makes you fast and invincible for 10 seconds

ToastySTENCH Yeah that's fair. So what I'm going to do is steal your template, remake my ideas like that and leave it for others to steal as well.

Okay. Now I have the template I'm going to do my other ideas. I did change the names of some to fit better with their abilities, but other than that it's mostly the same.
🔮Role name: Psychic
Team: Goodies
Core Ability: Whisper
When grabbing a player, small messages, or whispers, will appear around the screen telling the psychic what the player has done during the match, such as do maintenance, kill, infect, etc. but will not tell them the player's role.
Lasts as long as the psychic wants it to and has no cooldown.
Play style Impact: Encourages interaction between other players and promotes faster victories.
Counterplay: Psychic is vulnerable while whispering.
👼Role name: Angel
Team: Any, but is exclusive to ghosts (25% chance of getting after being killed. Can have multiple).
Core Ability: Protect
Surrounds a player in a protective shield invisible to all except ghosts. When the player is killed, the shield will break and they will not die.
Effect lasts 1 minute with a 30 second cooldown.
Play style Impact: Encourages players to keep playing after being killed.
Counterplay: Kill with another killer around.
🧬Role name: Biologist
Team: Goodies
Core Ability: Sample
Similar to Face/Off killer, the biologist can collect a sample from a player.
No cooldown. It can't be used again until the previous sample has been used.
Unique Interaction: If the biologist uses Surveillance while holding a sample, they can watch a 2 minute video of the player that was sampled and what they were doing before the sample was taken
Play style Impact: Encourages interaction with players and promotes faster victories.
Counterplay: Vulnerable while watching videos.
👁️Role name: Blind Killer
Team: Killers
Core Ability: Blind
Blinds all non killers in a five animal radius of the blind killer. Kill ability can still be used during this.
Effect lasts 20 seconds with a cooldown of 40 seconds.
Play style Impact: Encourages players to stay with those they fully trust.
Counterplay: Walk out of the radius. To be safe, away from everyone else.
🦦Role name: Groundhog (closest emoji to a groundhog I could find)
Team: Neutral
Core Ability: Has none.
Unique Interaction: When killed in most ways, the groundhog teleports to a random area on the map. It must be killed five times to win.
Play style Impact: Encourages players to keep an eye on their surroundings.
Counterplay: Vote them out, as it's the only kill method for this role.

The Possesed (Neutral)
Goal: kill everyone else
has an ability to control the nearest player for 30 seconds with a cooldown
when a player is controlled the user can switch between players
has normal kill ability included, can also kill players as the controlled player
chat and emotes show up as the regular players self to avoid abuse
