Okay, so, I'm gonna teach some of you something real quick. At least I assume I will, since it seems like a lot of people haven't figured this out.

When you're loading the level "Into the Game" there is a tip that appears: "You can play on the opposite team's machine too."

This is somewhat misleading, since it doesn't give you the real ramifications of doing so. If you are playing on the red team but you use the blue cabinet, collecting coins and gems raises the score for your opponents. If you are using the enemy colored cabinet, you should be collecting EXCLUSIVELY bombs to trash their score. Otherwise, you're helping them beat you.

I’ve doubted so many times whether it raises our points or theirs because 8 out of 10 games a teammate will use the other teams cabinet.

jej Yeah, scoring points on the blue machine gives the blue team points, and vice versa for red. Doesn't matter who's playing, just the arcade color.

Worth noting though....you can entirely drain the enemy team's score this way with a good buddy. I've tried this and it works. One of you take the enemy controls and jump into bombs, the other guards the one playing.

Famdutra Yeah, I see people approaching this incorrectly all the time. That's why I felt I had to put this here and have my little "the more you know" moment. Hopefully it catches on.

That explains why I lost matches where we definitely got more points than the other team, somebody on our team must have been scoring points for them without realizing it. Thanks, I added this to the Tips and Tricks thread.
