Custom Lobby UI disappearing

When creating a custom lobby, the UI starts to load, and then all the fields go blank or waiting. This is repeatable on my system, every time I create a new custom lobby. This started after I updated to version 1.6.0.0.

I can still get to lobby info and send invites, but unable to start the game or add second controller players:

I'm also unable to leave the session, I need to close the game in order to do anything.

After some time sitting in the lobby, I'm kicked automatically with the following error:

Sorry for the inconvenience. We will need your log and video record to further analyze the issue. Please follow the steps below to get the log:

Quit game.
Right click "Party Animals", then click "Properties". Type "-log" in the "Launch Options", and close the Properties window.
Restart the game. Then in Steam Library, right click "Party Animals ", then "Manage", then "browse local files". In the pop-up windows, you will see log files named "2024-xx-xx_xxxxxxxxx-Laptop Name". Each game session will generate one log.
Try to reproduce the issue and remember the time when you encounter it. Then quit the game, and ZIP all the log files.
