Hey there,
Regarding the ''microphone'' issue, please try the following steps:
- Set the microphone you want to use as the default in the system settings of your computer.
- In your computer's "Privacy and Security" settings, adjust the "Allow desktop apps to access the microphone" option to on.
- Open the game and go to Settings -> Sound to test the microphone. (If the microphone is far away, please try moving it closer.)
- If there is sound, click on the microphone icon in the bottom right corner of the game to adjust the listening range. (The microphone range and listening range should be the same, the microphone will not function when the listening range is turned off.)
- If the volume is low (for example, only 1-2 bars), please try increasing the microphone volume through an external sound card or audio software.
In case of persisting issues, we will need the game logs that have recorded the problem to analyze the issue further.
Please follow the steps below to get the log:
- Quit game.
- Right click "Party Animals", then click "Properties". Type "-log" in the "Launch Options", and close the Properties window.
- Restart the game. Then in Steam Library, right click "Party Animals ", then "Manage", then "browse local files". In the pop-up windows, you will see log files named "2023-09-xx_xxxxxxxxx-Laptop Name". Each game session will generate one log.
- Try to reproduce the issue and remember the time when you encounter it. Then quit the game, and ZIP all the log files.
Please provide the time you encounter it (including your time zone). Then attach the zip file to the ticket and click send.
If there's video or screenshot, please also attach them.
We will get back to you as soon as we find out what's going wrong.
Thank you for supporting Party Animals!
Best,
Party Animals Support Team
