Cervantesak I am stuck at the main screen and it keep saying “failed to initialize” and giving an error code. Yes I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It is downloaded on internal hard-rive. And we even hard reset not only the Xbox but my entire network. Please help

Cervantesak SpartanConnorUK yes with an animal sitting to the left of the sign. I see when people load in the number at far left bottom climbs to 100 (I think) but mine is at 0 and saying to pick a server. The only buttons I can click is to retry (nothing happens) or to exit game

SpartanConnorUK Cervantesak you might want to check your Xbox network settings and see if there is something wrong there. That might be why it's struggling to choose a server. Are you using a VPN or anything like that?
Cervantesak SpartanConnorUK I believe I am. I literally play apex and other pvp/competitive games so I don’t think network and or multiplayer is an issue. Unless there is something in my settings that specifically is for this game to work
Tweet75 I'm getting the same issue, xbox one, series x, pc, tv app. Failed to initialize due to unknown erro, error code 10016. Must be something to do with my network for all devices, but have rebooted and still have the issue.
Cervantesak Tweet75 I am home and yes it says the exact same error code. I am able to play any other multiplayer game and like I said I Hera even restarted my network and Xbox but still am given an error code

blaeko My friend has the same problem. He logged in to my account, game loaded right away on his device. Logged back in to his own account, error 10016. We share game pass btw
Tweet75 My boy (reason i downloaded it) tried it this morning and it works on his profile, so that's something, I tried it on my wife's yesterday and it didn't work either. At least he can play now, thanks for giving me the idea 👍
Choco1752 Here is the fix that worked for me! It's weird but the error happens when you don't have a profile picture chosen for your gamertag. After I opened my Xbox mobile app and chose a gamer tag profile pic, I launched the game and it works like a charm! What's interesting is that you actually see this profile pic when logging into their servers. Devs please fix it so it doesn't error when no profile pic is selected.
