Igor I don’t think the difference is small. I’ve hit someone within the first 2 seconds of spawning on Ichiban, I’ve picked them up, 3 seconds later they’ve knocked me down while I’m carrying them to the edge of the map, and then thrown me off instead. 5 seconds later I’m still knocked out in the gas - where I die. It would be nice to know why.
For instance, if a kick in the head causes more damage than a kick elsewhere, then that’s good to know and would stop a lot of confusion - but we just can’t see this. I used up stamina by punching the person and then carrying them, but for them to wake up after receiving a heavy punch at full stamina, hit me once, and put me out of the game almost immediately is the kind of thing that makes us wonder why.
I suspect where you get hit is just as important as how hard you get hit. I also think that a player’s stamina might NOT be affected by being knocked down sometimes. I’ve seen this with the bombs. A player can be knocked out next to a bomb. The bomb explodes before they wake up, and then they wake up immediately after being blown halfway across the map. The rules feel a bit unclear and inconsistent, and that’s why people like myself and @Vividtoast ask these questions.
