If you get knocked out, can you actually die from playing dead for too long?
Happened to me once in a round.

you cant die from just laying down, but when you lay down, you can still receive damage. for this reason, for example, you should keep hitting someone with a shovel, even if they are down, to murder them faster (it wont ever be as fast as it was before)

There was one time my character was lying against a wall upside down (so the top of their head was touching the ground) and I decided to play dead, and I eventually died even though nobody touched me. I assume your character takes constant damage if their head is touching the ground like that, then?
MBRedboy31 not sure. which map was it? the hazard should eventually kill you anyway.
MBRedboy31 If it was Ichiban, the smoke was probably "inside" the wall and you were taking damage from that
