This will be really interesting to see once/if more folks respond. 🙂

Too bad Beast Soccer wasn't on there so I could put it at the bottom.

i don't know how to press buttons in your poll. please vote beat up bridge for me

Igor Lol you don't press you just arrange all the maps from your favorite to your least favorite.

I had to search up all the different maps Because I don’t know them all by name hahaha

Checking periodically on the results is making me feel more and more like I'm one of the few people that actually likes the sport based games (mostly), heh. Beast Soccer and Hockey are some of my favorite maps. The American Football one...eh. It seems so easily imbalanced that I usually dread playing it. Fluffy Redemption is also in that same category for me--I like the general principle and design of the map but it needs a good team like no other, and I rarely get that playing solo, ha.

Very cool to see which maps are emerging at the top and bottom of the list. 🙂

People are sleeping on Trebuchet and Into the Game. While I can say that I like all of the Last Stand maps, I have more fun with the Team maps. The sports maps not named Buzz Ball feel like a slog.

there are no bad maps. into the game is a map you play when you want to relax. american football stresses me out, but it's good too. beat up bridge is still the best

I'm definitely warming to the Team-based maps these days. A month ago I would've put them right at the bottom of the list, partly due to lack of skills on my part and partly due to not seeing any kind of teamwork. Recently, I've had some great sessions where our team have truly worked together though, and that's when those maps really shine.

Unfortunately, in many cases, the norm for some players in a larger team still seems to be "I'm going to do what I want, screw the team". This is the mentality that results in every single person on your team going for the ball or the puck at the same time - while leaving the goal wide open. The tussles that result from this can be hilarious at times, but it can also be frustrating when you see the other team working well together while your team are running around like a bunch of headless chickens!

I see this a lot with Trebuchet, Fluffy Redemption, and Into the Game. I love the first two (still on the fence about Into the Game), but as @Nullstrukt says, you need a decent team alongside you. I've lost count of the number of times I've had the lollipop on Fluffy Redemption and have been in a perfect position to give an invader onto our train a good whack with it but been thwarted by my own team just deciding to all pile in while completely ignoring me.

It seems this is an unpopular opinion, but Castleween had to go near the bottom for me. I've had some fun sessions with it, but struggle massively that I just can't see who's on my team a lot of the time. You only see the name badges when the players are lit up, and if you've got other players using the same outfits as those on your team, then it's very difficult not to crack them on the head by accident. Maybe I worry too much though. I've lost count of the number of times my teammate has cracked me on the head or thrown me off the castle.

Maybe I just need to find a different approach with Castleween. I've noticed a more stealthy approach is taken by some, so maybe I just shouldn't treat it like a dark Ichiban and make some adjustments.

oh yeah, the old true castleween was the best map ever made

Igor It's changed a couple of times since the original one, right? I seem to remember that they made it darker, then made it a bit lighter, but the original was the lightest. The hidden name badges thing is a recent change (I think). I don't remember that in the first iteration. I understand why they do it, given the darkness of the map, but I struggle with it. I never really loved Castleween, but do remember enjoying the first iteration a lot more than the current one. But, it's currently sitting in the middle of the poll, so I'm in a minority here.

Would've been interesting if we'd had a poll for the earlier version, to see if the popularity has risen or dropped due to the changes. I suspect the devs have access to all of this information already though, given they know what we're voting for during our play sessions. I'd love to see that data!

BugalugsNugget the very first castleween is similar to current one. the difference is player names and light bulbs (which are now useless). i was talking about TRUE castleween.

the new one will obviously win in a poll. not everyone can appreciate art

Nullstrukt I think a big part of the reason that

                1) Team games require TEAM WORK. I don't think most people understand this concept

                2) The team games are just more fun in general when you have a party made up of your friends

                3) The sports games don't have weapons and I think most people think of that as a con

UnseenMind I agree on all of this, but a minor addendum to point 3: the sports games don't have weapons except for the ball/puck itself, heh. That hockey puck has KO'd me SO MANY TIMES, especially because of my own teammates, lol.

(I have definitely been guilty of knocking others out with it too, to be fair 😛)

Very happy overall with how the results of the vote turned out; glad the community mostly agrees with which maps are fun and which ones aren't. I just submitted my vote just now and was pleased to see like 12 of my answers were exact matches in ranking.

Also, I too enjoy the team based games. I rated most of them directly under the big Last Stand favorites, except for Safely Afloat.
