Yes, that'd make a big difference. It would also help if the players were sorted from left-to-right by their team, so you're standing next to your teammate.
I also think we need a new emoji, a "stop hitting me you Muppet, I'm on your team" emoji. I'd use that a lot. Currently I just use the crying face if my teammate keeps hitting me, but that's not quite enough.
