Does friends pass work with cross platform?

Hi, if i buy the game on the ps5, can me and my friend still play it together if they just have the friends pass version through steam? Do they need to buy the game for us to play?

Sussysushi Yes, friend pass works through cross-play which means your friend does not have to buy the game. I play on PS5 and I used to help someone on this forum play. I believe they were a PC user too.

You would have to invite them to your lobby. As long as they play from steam, it works. If they play on PS5 it wouldn't work since PS5 has no friend pass.
