I previously thought about adding the ability to upload images and frames from the desktop, but there’s a problem: some players might upload inappropriate images, and there are children using the platform. If a link is added or clicked, it could lead to harmful or inappropriate content.
Therefore, strict rules should be applied, such as filtering and reviewing all content before it’s displayed, to protect everyone, especially children.

ZoiDUX I think his point still comes across if you replace upload with drawing your own designs in game.

Battlefield 4 had this over a decade ago. Except it was only with certain shapes and pre-determined things you can design with. However I saw several emblems of terrorist organizations, explicit images including nude bodies, etc.

I guess they could implement an approval period. Where each players design can be submitted and approved before its visible on your profile. But the amount of resources it would take to check over every background would be quite a lot.

What if there are rules?
Profile Image Guidelines
Uploading nude, sexual, violent, or harassing images is prohibited.
Uploading images of children or exploiting them in any way is prohibited.
New accounts start with a default image—uploading is permitted after account activation.
Each image is automatically screened and may be removed or suspended for review.
Players can report any inappropriate image using the Report button.
Violations = Warning → Suspension → Permanent Ban.

ZoiDUX I fully support this. It would be nice to see a little check mark next to someone's name as well to see that they've linked their forum account to their in game user too. Maybe once linked you can have more options on customization of stuff that you've unlocked in game. For users who havent linked, they just get generic options with the exception of some being unlocked the more engagement you do within the forum.

This would also help identify alternative accounts on the forum too and indicate to us who's ban evading which is sadly a big issue on this forum.

Arabian I think what hes trying to suggest is this in a nutshell:

Implement into the forum the same name card, avatar and profile picture system that we currently have in game. However he's suggesting all name cards, all profile pictures and avatars are all unlocked for everyone in the forum. I personally think it would be neat to have it tied to your account in game, and also add a verified check like on X or Instagram in the forum too. This would help curb alternative accounts that are ban evadint. We would be safe to assume the players who don't voice that they dont own the game but visit the forum out of interest but have not verified are likely alternative account ban evading. Not 100% but a good indicator.

Do you mean linking the game account to the forum so that your achievements and profile picture automatically appear on the forum? What’s the benefit of that? And what if I want my pictures on the forum to be different from the game?
Do you think players care about seeing your account, like your achievements and how long you’ve played?
I’m not completely against the idea, but this game is different from other battle royale games; it’s light, and a match lasts about 10 minutes. Even if accounts are linked, there are more important things than that.
An example of the risks: if your account gets banned in the game, and it’s linked to the forum, it may lead to your forum account being banned as well, and you won’t be able to participate.
