galaxy-cabbage Thats my method for a shovel. You can still do my hammer method with a shovel. But they can usually still knock you out if you grab onto their front. For someone with a shovel I either do what you said, or try and grab onto their back. When you do this they usually can't swing fully and get you, and you just mash headbutt and knock them out.
