Infection at The Cabin
This map uses assets that are largely present in the game already, the setting is Winter Cabin! I enjoy throwing people through windows which is my inspiration.
Players spawn indoors. Infected AI are outdoors moving in. The infected look like those in Infection games with glowing eyes, darker tone, etc.
Players attempt to throw each other towards infected.
The shrinking circle in three phases:
Phase 1 (30-60 seconds): Infected are outdoors slowly trying to break windows and doors. If players are thrown outside, they can fight back and return inside. If they are too slow they get infected or freeze. Infected AI would have low health (1-10%). If infected AI hold players for long enough the player is infected.
Phase 2 (60 seconds) Infected slowly enter the building, windows and doors break. Upstairs infected enter faster. Candlelight chandeliers hanging from the ceiling fall to light the stairs and upper floor on fire. Infected move downstairs slowly. Arms other infected reach in through the windows downstairs, if players are too close to windows they can be grabbed and infected. Players can still fight back but infection sets in faster than in phase 1.
Phase 3 (up top 60 seconds): Infected are now inside moving downstairs/through windows. Infected from upstairs burn as they move through fire. Play area is behind the bar only. Infected slowly creep over the bar to grab players. Players should be trying to throw opponenents over the bar. Infection happens much faster. Fast-killing fire (as in end of Ring of Garfat) spreads around the building to reduce the number of AI-infected assets required and improve processing power.
When Eliminated: Infected players join the AI. Their appearace changes to be infected. This replaces the item-throwing mechanic. Infected players are limited in movement and easily knocked out, like the AI. They can target specific living players can still impact the game.
Player eliminations are from infection, freezing (phase 1) and burning (Phase 2/3).
No standard weapons. Behind the bar are drinks (consumable power-ups), 2 or 3 in the first and second phase, none in the third phase. Milk bottles can be used as weapons (as in Winter Cabin).
