GPU max usage

For the past few months, I've been experiencing an issue. At first, when I played Party Animals the GPU usage was at a maximum of 60–70%. After I updated my graphics card drivers (NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060) even if I use the same settings as before, the game now constantly uses 100% of the GPU. I don't think this is normal, especially since the graphics card should easily handle this game. Also I updated the drives other times before and after that one and nothing changed. How can I fix it?

I dont know much about this stuff, but this may be useful until you get a better answer from Barbie or someone else.

I know Nvidia has a setting within games called DLSS. I believe having it on is supposed to make your game run 4k? But if your monitor is 1080p or something you might as well turn it off. I know in my past this has saved a ton of resources.

Also are you seeing GPU usage through an overlay or something? Only reason why I ask, but im sure you've done this is i just want to suggest pressing CTRL + SHIFT + TAB which opens your task manager. Click see more and you can scroll to the right and see a breakdown of all apps using GPU usage and how much each app is using your GPU usage. Who knows, maybe somehow you enabled some sort of option in the update that enabled some sort of heavy resource you may be able to spot in task manager.

Once enabled, the system will immediately generate log files in the game’s root directory, named in the format "2025-xx-xx_xxxxxxxxx-Laptop Name". You can locate these files by right-clicking "Party Animals" in your Steam Library, selecting "Manage," and then "Browse Local Files"
Try to reproduce the issue and remember the exact time and date when you encounter it. Then quit the game, and ZIP all the log files.
